Mountbatten Festival of Music – Saturday Matinee added to performances
The Mountbatten Festival of Music is to change its performance times to enable more people the opportunity to attend this spectacular event. For the first time, 2018 will see a Saturday afternoon performance beginning at 2.00pm. It is hoped that this matinee performance will allow people to travel to London from all over the country and still be able to get home the same day. We also hope to attract younger people to the concert so why don’t you consider bringing the children or grandchildren.
The Saturday matinee will replace the Thursday evening performance which means the performances for 2018 will be:
Friday 9th March at 7.30pm
Saturday 10th March at 2.00pm
Saturday 10th March at 7.30pm
Booking forms will be sent to all RMA Branches in July and to regular MFM attendees from the HQ Roll. The RMA website will also have the advance ticket booking form to enable members to download and bid for tickets. Also for the first time RMA members will have the opportunity to book some of the fabulous boxes at the Royal Albert Hall in advance of the tickets going on sale to the general public in September.
If you’ve not been to this incredible Corps event before why not get a group of friends together and take advantage of this opportunity. Hosting your friends in a box in the historic Royal Albert Hall is surely one of those experiences that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Ticket prices range from £12.00 to £49.00
So look out for the ticket booking form in July, book your tickets through the Massed Bands Events Office (no booking fees) in advance of the general public, and support this superb event in one of the world’s most beautiful concert venues.
