RMA CENTRAL OFFICE IS MOVING
For most of its 73-year history, the RMA Central Office has been based in Portsmouth, firstly at RM Eastney and then at HMS EXCELLENT. The opportunity has now been seized to move to the home of the Royal Marines at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines.
From Monday 11 March 2019, the Chief Executive, the two Operations Managers and the Membership Secretary will be based in ‘The Wooden Hut’ at CTCRM, alongside the Marketing and Comms Team from The Royal Marines Charity.
The address for the RMA Central Office will now be:
Royal Marines Association Central Office
The telephone number for the RMA Membership Secretary will be 01392-414360 or 07860-143778. Please note that CTCRM are planning to switch off their landlines at some point this year at which time we may become solely reliant on the mobile telephone number.
The email for the RMA Membership Secretary will remain firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that following the impending merger this will be changing to email@example.com. A separate letter will be sent to all members by email or by post with the details of the merged charity by the end of March 2019.
After 4 years working as Membership Secretary (and 5 years before that as a volunteer), Tamsin Stares has decided to move onto a new role as a Support and Course Administrator. We thank her for her work supporting the membership and wish her well in her new career. Tamsin will be replaced by two new membership secretaries on a job-share basis. Sheridan Parry is the wife of a serving Royal Marine and will be working Monday-Wednesday. Jane Bruce is the wife of a former Royal Marine and the mother of a serving Royal Marine, and she will be working Wednesday-Friday. It’s great to have them both on board and they are looking forward to working with all of you. Please note that they do not start work until 25 March, in the meantime Richard and Charlie will be manning the telephone and answering emails from the membership.
The Welfare Team will remain in Portsmouth and their contact details remain the same. If you need help, the simplest way to contact them is through the ‘Need Help’ button on the website https://royalmarinesassociation.org.uk/need-our-help/ . Alternatively, you can call Vivienne (Welfare Support) on 02392547224 between 0830-1600 Monday to Friday, or email her on firstname.lastname@example.org .
