Romford Branch - our second wet weekend away in support of the RMA - The Royal Marines Charity
The last post regarding The Echoes of History Show was meant as a thank you to the show organisers who were as always superb. You may recall my post regarding the diabolical weather at The War and Peace Show two weekends ago - 38 degree plus heat Thursday, Torrential rain and thunderstorms Friday and the same Saturday. We thought things couldn't get worse. We were due at the Echoes of History Show last weekend just gone, on Friday, yes the day of storms with torrential rain (again) plus high winds. Saturday was gale force winds with yellow weather warnings for fallen trees, branches with the wind gusting to 60 mph ! What a weekend, again. Sunday wasn't too bad a bit windy but brilliant compared to Friday and Saturday so the pictures I've posted you can guess are only from Sunday.
You've got to admit we may all now be getting on but we do still have stamina and endurance as well as the ability to have a laugh !! As you can see for some it's tiring work.
