| Comments: | The unveiling of the memorial wall at CTCRM 27 September 2009 - I / “We will remember them” A bright sunny morning on my first return after 37 years, on parade looking at “THE ROCK” a striking creation made of granite, my eyes gradually welling up although I and many others were fortunate to reflect in such a peaceful, tranquil family setting. In our green RMA handout page 3 The Bidding Prayer, last line reads Royal Marines memorial Wall in this special place. Amen. Most poignant moment, seeing the families and loved ones crossing the parade ground with serving marines, the couple of pushchairs and a pregnant lady finally brought it all home. |
